Model View Controller

The part-of-phrase of these components is of interest.   Model and view are either nouns or verbs, depending on context, but controller is always a noun.

I believe this is incorrect, and the term Model-View Controller only identifies the source code operating on both the Model and the View, in effect the IO handling part of an application.

In reality, MVC is made up of Model, View and Control, each component perhaps associated with a Modeler, a Viewer, and a Controller, as well as a Model, a View, and a Control.
